tips for a lone wolf ๐Ÿบ

Hey loves ๐Ÿ’˜  Thanks for being so patient, I graduated last week so I was busy doing some last-minute prepping over the last 2 weeks, but Iโ€™m back!

Living alone can be very difficult, but I think itโ€™s something everyone should do at least once. Youโ€™re gonna be with yourself all your life so you might as well be comfortable with that person! Here are some of my personal tips that can make it easier.

1.) Appliances to Make it All Easier

Most nights youโ€™re gonna be cooking for one. Space may be at a premium if youโ€™re on your own but make sure to get a convection toaster oven. These are perfect for cooking a limited portion quick & they save energy!

2.) Buy Cheap, Buy Local

Youโ€™ll take notice most of the items on this list are gonna be about food, but hey eating is tough on your own! One of my favorite places to shop is Aldi and it is soo underrated. Why donโ€™t more people shop here? I can buy all the food I need (besides my White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cliff Bars) for $75! If there are no Aldiโ€™s where you are or wanna try something different, your local co-op or farmers market can be a great alternative.

3.) Eat More Grains & Lentils

Regardless of where you shop grains & lentils are so cheap, so versatile, & so healthy! No more reason here. As a vegetarian or vegan, rice, quinoa, & beans make for a world of possibilities when cooking โ€“ even if youโ€™re not, try to incorporate them more. Save some money & help save the planet in the process.

4.) Unplug Idle Appliances

When youโ€™re living alone you likely want to save money everywhere you can. Why bother keeping something plugged in if you arenโ€™t using it? It may not save you a whole lot of money in the long run, but you gotta do whatever ya can sometimes.

5.) Get as Much Free (Or Cheap) Furniture

Whenever you decide to trek out on your own, you will have some furniture to take along with you. When I moved out on my own, I was lucky enough that they were moving as well & wanted to clear out as much as possible. The only thing I ended up buying was my TV stand from IKEA. If you canโ€™t everything you need, the next best is to go thrifting & refurbish it. There are plenty of Pinterest ideas for that, I donโ€™t need to say anymore.

Thatโ€™s all for today! Be sure to stay tuned, Iโ€™m going to be uploading a few YouTube videos this week. ๐Ÿ™‚
